TEA PARTY OF FIVE

Dress: SABOSKIRT | Heels: AMINAH ABDUL JILLIL | Jacket: ZARA | Purse: FOREVER 21 | Hat, Necklace: H&M

I finally got to wear this mint Tea Dress to an actual high tea outing!  I recently went with my friends and it was such a fun experience!  Definitely something everyone should try at least once!  After researching the multiple high tea choices in the lower mainland, we decided to try out the Fur Elise Patisserie located in Yaletown.  One of the things that attracted us to this particular place was the cute Victorian pastel house it was located in.  It reminds me of a life size doll house!  Also, this building has been in Vancouver since 1893!

Fur Elise Patisserie is a two level house; on the first level they have a bakery where you can buy all their baked goods and upstairs on the second floor is where their tea house is located.  The building isn't too big but it is beautifully decorated in pastel colours and cozy Victorian style furniture.

For afternoon tea, it costs $30 per person and the menu included your own personal pot of tea and a 2 tier tower of a variety of savouries and sweets.  Make sure you make reservations especially on busy days so you guarantee yourself a table!  The tea house was pretty quiet when we went but this place becomes super busy on the weekends!  The waitresses were dressed up in floral vintage looking outfits which fit in perfectly with the whole decor and they were super friendly and polite!  There are only about 10 tea choices to choose from and I decided to go with the Lychee Garden which I quite enjoyed but I got a taste of the Blueberry Yogurt and WOW was that one ever good!  It would probably be one of my favourites on the menu.

The food overall was tasty.  It was the typical pastries you would expect at any high tea occasion.  I did find the scones to be a bit on the heavy side but the Berry Panna Cota dessert was AMAZING!  That and of course macarons!  If you are ever in the Vancouver area and want to try out some high tea, check out Fur Elise Patisserie!
