The sports luxe trend has to one of my favourite trends to exist... it finally gives me an excuse to wear my sneakers with dresses and skirts and to wear more athletic clothing in a more high fashion manner! I'm a sneaker collector and a few years ago, people would think you're crazy for wearing shoes meant for the gym with your everyday outfits.  But now it has become more socially acceptable... as long as you know how to style it and make it work together with your outfit!!

I find the easiest way to wear sneakers with a more dressy outfit is to find a sneaker that is very simple and sleek in design and one that is more of a neutral colour (black and white are the best!).  Nike free runs are probably the most popular amongst bloggers because they are very light, the design is super simple and clean, and you can find them in a variety of colours which are tasteful.  These pair I'm wearing are my favourite because even though they look plain black, the top of them actually has a leopard print reflective!

If you are more adventurous and want to wear more colourful sneakers, make sure the rest of your outfit is more simple and neutral so your sneakers really give it that pop and the outfit will look more put together than a hot mess.  Here are a few inspiration photos of how to wear sneakers with everyday outfits:
