MBMJ LAUNCH WITH THE BECKERMANS

Last week, I got the chance to attend the Marc by Marc Jacobs launch at The Bay which was hosted by the Beckerman sisters from Beckerman blog!  I've been a fan of Marc Jacobs for a few years now and when I found out the Beckermans would be in town, I just had to go see them!

When the Beckerman sisters came out, they were dressed head to toe in their favourite pieces from the Fall 2014 MBMJ Collection and rocking the wired braids which are straight from the runway!  Sam (on the left) and Cailli (on the right) started off the night by introducing themselves and the concept behind the MBMJ collection along with their favourite looks and pieces.  The collection is all about japanese pop culture, BMX/motorcross riders, and girl power.

For the first look, the girls put together an oversized wool coat with a checkered dress and sneakers.  This look is perfect for fall and a great back to school look.  The bag is also practical as it is big enough to fit your books in.

Here's a more detailed look at the dress from the first outfit.  It totally reminds me of the 60s and is a modern take on the 60s shift dress.

The next look we have a bmx rider inspired look.  The fonts used on this shirt are inspired by the clothing bmx/motorcross riders wear on their gear.

The shirt says "GRRL" on the back... girl power!

For the next look, we see the classic biker jacket back this season.  I love leather biker jackets because they go with everything and are a classic piece in every wardrobe.  Sam is rocking the exact same jacket as the model and Cailli is wearing the same jeans from this look.

These 2 looks are inspired by japanese pop culture and the japanese school girls.  A fashionable take on classic sweater and skirt combo which all the female students wear in Japan.

An outfit full of prints!  Here we have a maxi dress, with the MBMJ logo all over it, paired with a floral purse.

I really love this bag!  The orange really pops with this outfit.

For the final look, the girls showed us an outfit that was used on the Marc Jacobs runway... so fun! I love the oversized knit sweater and this is the black version of the floral purse seen in the previous outfits.

The collection also included some fun scarves like the one Sam is modelling above!

Cool tote bags we received that were made especially for this launch.  There were also some goodies inside! Yay!

With the twins!  They are so much fun and always so positive and full of energy... great to finally meet them!  I hope they come back to Vancouver soon!
